THC — object no. 0420
NAME: THC : Z8 / OBJECT NO. 0420 — 1 OF 1
COLOR: Green Grass
DIMENSIONS: 19 x 15 × 1.25 inches
MATERIALS: Dried Carnations / Bubble Wrap / Repurposed Cardboard / Repurposed Plastic Film / Joint Paper / Lid of Weed Container / Acrylic Paint
INSPIRATION:
Created while reflecting on my relationship with weed—one marked by both reverence, resistance, and the search for presence. What makes a ritual and what makes it dependence; a reaching habit born of disconnection or reverence. This piece holds the questions: What are you running from? Are you treating her as sacred?
Cannabis, like any force, mirrors the intention we bring to it. In the liminal spaces—between high and not high, shadow and light, wanting and release—we begin to witness the whole. THC is an offering to Maryjane not just as a substance, but as a consciousness: a teacher of stillness, expansion, and return.
A relic of presence.
A re-patterning.
A blessing in green when we treat her with reverence and intention.
